Question 1

Which is the best solar water heater manufacturer in Bangalore?

Accepted Answer

The best manufacturer depends on certification, local support, warranty, and pricing. Look for MNRE approval (subsidy eligibility), ISO 9001:2015 and BIS certification under IS 16544:2016 (manufacturing quality and safety), local installation and AMC support, and a track record with local water and climate conditions. Power Tek Solar Industries, founded in 2009 and based in Bangalore, is an MNRE-approved, ISO 9001:2015 and BIS Certified (CM/L No. 6200207488) manufacturer offering installation, AMC, and emergency repair across Karnataka.

Question 2

What is the price of a solar water heater in Bangalore?

Accepted Answer

Solar water heater prices in Bangalore range from approximately ₹15,000 for a 100 LPD ETC system (3-4 people) to ₹28,000-₹45,000 for a 200 LPD system (6-8 people), up to ₹80,000+ for a 500 LPD FPC commercial system. Exact pricing depends on collector type, brand, and mounting structure. Contact Power Tek Solar at 9886610345 for a site-specific quote.

Question 3

ETC vs FPC solar water heater – which is better?

Accepted Answer

Neither type is universally better; the right choice depends on water quality, budget, and usage. ETC (Evacuated Tube Collector) is generally better for hard, mineral-heavy water and inconsistent sunlight, and offers a lower upfront residential cost. FPC (Flat Plate Collector) is more rugged for heavy daily commercial use such as hotels and hospitals, with better resistance to hail and wind and a longer service life under consistent sun exposure. For most Bangalore homes, ETC offers the better cost-to-performance balance; for high-demand commercial properties, FPC is usually the more durable investment.

Question 4

What capacity solar water heater do I need for my home?

Accepted Answer

A 100 LPD system suits a 2-3 BHK home with 3-4 people. A 150 LPD system suits a 3 BHK with 4-5 people. A 200 LPD system suits larger families or small guesthouses. Power Tek Solar offers capacities from 100 LPD to 500 LPD to match any household or commercial requirement.

Question 5

Which solar water heater is suitable for hard water?

Accepted Answer

ETC (Evacuated Tube Collector) solar water heaters are generally better suited for hard water areas, as their tube design handles mineral deposits and scaling more gracefully than flat plate systems. This makes ETC systems a common choice in parts of Bangalore that rely on borewell water with higher mineral content. Power Tek Solar's MNRE-approved, BIS Certified ETC systems are engineered to perform reliably under these conditions without scaling or performance loss.

Question 6

How much electricity can a solar water heater save?

Accepted Answer

A solar water heater can replace most or all of the electricity an immersion heater or geyser would otherwise use for heating water, since a well-sized system meets daily hot water needs using only solar energy on most sunny days. For an average Indian household, this typically translates to meaningful monthly savings on electricity bills, with the system paying for itself over a few years. Actual savings depend on household size, hot water usage, and local sunshine hours.

Question 7

Is Power Tek Solar MNRE approved, and is there a government subsidy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Power Tek Solar Industries manufactures MNRE-approved solar water heaters, and Karnataka residents can avail government subsidies on these systems. Power Tek Solar also provides installation, AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), and emergency repair services across Bangalore and all of Karnataka, and can assist with the subsidy process — contact 9886610345 for details.

Question 8

Is Power Tek Solar ISO and BIS certified?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Power Tek Solar Industries is ISO 9001:2015 Certified and BIS Certified under IS 16544:2016 (CM/L No. 6200207488), ensuring every product meets stringent quality and safety standards.
